JOB TITLE: HSQE Co-Ordinator

Reports to: HSQE Manager.

Job Type: Full Time Basis / Hybrid (may be required to work from different company sites and or from home as instructed or by agreement with line manager.)

This position is advertised on the above basis as to meet the growing demand for our products and services, we are expanding our team to meet our customer requirements.

Job Summary:

The HSQE Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and supporting the organization’s efforts to maintain a safe and environmentally responsible workplace while ensuring the highest quality standards are met. This role involves supporting the HSQE department and collaboration with various other departments to implement and maintain HSQE policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. IMS that includes Health and Safety Management:
  • Assist in implementing and maintain health and safety policies and procedures.
  • Assist in conducting regular safety audits and risk assessments to identify and address potential hazards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create and maintain a culture of safety.
  • Assist in Investigating accidents, incidents, and near-misses, and implementing corrective actions.
  1. IMS that includes Quality Management:
  • Assist in implementing and maintain a comprehensive quality management system (QMS).
  • Assist in ensuring compliance with industry quality standards and regulations.
  • Assist in conducting regular quality audits and inspections to identify areas for improvement.
  • Assist in collaborating with production and manufacturing teams to address quality issues and drive continuous improvement.
  1. IMS that includes Environmental Management:
  • Assist in implementing environmental policies and procedures.
  • Assist in monitoring and assessing environmental impact and performance.
  • Assist in ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and standards (e.g., ISO14001)
  • Assist to identify opportunities for waste reduction, energy conservation, and sustainable practices.
  1. Training and Education:
  • Assist the HSQE Manager and Officer with:
  • Developing and delivering HSQE training programs, including Toolbox Talks, presentations, and videos for employees at all levels.
  • Keep employees informed about safety protocols, quality standards, and regulatory changes.
  • That employees are appropriately trained to perform their tasks safely and efficiently.
  • Implementation of wellbeing initiatives, contributing to the overall welfare and mental health support of employees.
  • Assist with Occupation Health matters as required.
  1. Regulatory Compliance & Industry Knowledge:
  • Stay up to date with relevant health, safety, quality and environmental regulations, standards, and best practice to ensure compliance and drive continuous improvement.
  • Assist in ensuring the organization’s compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Assist in liaising with regulatory agencies and authorities as necessary.
  1. Documentation and Reporting:
  • Assist in maintaining accurate records of health, safety, quality and environmental incidents, quality metrics, and compliance documentation.
  • Assist in preparing reports to management, regulatory agencies, and stakeholders as required.
  1. Compliance and Audits:
  • Assist in the monitoring of compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, including licenses, permits, and industry standards.
  • Assist in conducting internal audits and inspections on various sites, providing evidential information required for audits.
  • Assist in external audits by certification bodies such as BSI, local councils, insurance companies, or authoritative bodies.
  • Assist on conducting audits at contractors’ and suppliers’ premises to ensure HSQE standards are upheld, and due diligence is maintained in the selection process.
  1.  Incident Management and Investigation:
  • Assist in incident investigations, including witness interviews and root cause analysis, to prevent future occurrences.
  • Assist to ensure proper documentation and reporting of incidents and HSQE activities.
  1. Risk Assessments and Hazard identification:
  • Assist in conducting and reviewing risk assessments for the organisation and suggest relevant hazard mitigation measures and risk control measures.
  • Assist in conducting and reviewing other assessments, such as COSHH, PUWER, Point of Work assessments and RAMS for the organisation.
  1. ICT & Iformis Platform Development:
  • Assist in the development and improvement of internal management systems, ensuring alignment with industry standards and best practices.
  • Assist in the enhancement and optimising the Iformis platform for efficient tracking and management of HSQE data, including Complaints, NC’s, Incidents, Actions, or Tasks.
  1. Company Compliance

  1. Training and CPD
  • Everyone must undertake training that has been identified for their roll by the company.
  • You will be required to familiarise yourself with colleague roles to provide complimentary cover as instructed by your line manager.
  • You will be required to perform any reasonable request by your line manager.

Essential Criteria:

  • Must have a full UK driving license as frequent travel between sites is required.
  • The right candidate will have a strong commitment to health, safety, quality, and environmental principles.


  • IOSH Managing safely as a minimum or some other form of Health and Safety or environmental experience or qualification is preferred but not essential.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Basic knowledge or relevant regulations and industry standards.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic work environment.



  • Demonstrable experience in a similar HSQE role, preferably within the construction industry and with minimum 3-year experience

Working Conditions:

The HSQE Co-Ordinator typically works in an office setting but may involve frequent site visits to company and or customer sites, exposure to outdoor and industrial environments and frequent travel. The candidate must be prepared to work in varying weather conditions and will be required to wear personal protective equipment.

Physical fitness to walk, climb and navigate uneven terrain.

They may also be required to work nights, weekends, or irregular hours to monitor operations effectively on an ad hoc basis as required.

Salary and Benefits:

Salary Band – £28,000 to £33,000

Refer to the contract of employment for agreed salary and benefits.

  8. Rheoli a Ymchwiliad Digwyddiadau: • Cynorthwyo i ymchwilio i ddigwyddiadau, gan gynnwys cyfweliadau â phroffwyr a dadansoddiad o achosion gwreiddiol, i atal digwyddiadau’r dyfodol. • Cynorthwyo i sicrhau bod dogfennu a riportio digwyddiadau a gweithgareddau HSQE yn briodol.
  9. Asesiadau Risg a nodi peryglon: • Cynorthwyo i gynnal ac adolygu asesiadau risg ar gyfer y sefydliad ac awgrymu mesurau lliniaru peryglon perthnasol a mesurau rheoli peryglon. • Cynorthwyo i gynnal ac adolygu asesiadau eraill, fel COSHH, PUWER, asesiadau Man y Gwaith a RAMS ar gyfer y sefydliad.
  10. Datblygu Platfform TGCh a Iformis: • Cynorthwyo i ddatblygu a gwella systemau rheoli mewnol, gan sicrhau cydymplad â safonau a’r arfer gorau’r diwydiant. • Cynorthwyo i wella a gosod y platfform Iformis i reoli data HSQE yn effeithlon, gan gynnwys Cwynion, NCs, Digwyddiadau, neu Dasgau.
